Christina Aguilera And Boyfriend Matt Rutler Arrested For Being Drunk

Christina Aguilera was arrested this morning in West Hollywood along with her boyfriend Matthew Rutler. Christina was arrested for public intoxication and her boyfriend was arrested for driving under the influence.

Matt Rutler was stopped by officers after they noticed he was driving erratically around 2:45 AM. Rutler was determined to be drunk and was arrested for misdemeanor DUI.

Deputies determined Aguilera was also “extremely intoxicated” and unable to care for herself so she was also taken into custody.

Aguilera has been having a difficult time lately. She filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman in October, flubbed the words to the National Anthem in early February, and stumbled during a Grammy performance two weeks ago.

Sources close to Christina say they have been trying to get the singer into a rehab program for weeks.

What do you think about Christina’s downward spiral? Is she just having a few minor misteps or are these signs of worse things to come? Leave your thoughts in the comments section.

Lindsay Lohan Civil Lawsuit — Allegations Are Weak According To Judge

Lindsay Lohan’s trial date for the civil lawsuit filed against her has been set for April 2011. The lawsuit stems from her infamous 2007 DUI arrest.

Judge Richard Stone weighed in on the allegations against Lohan during a status hearing in Beverly Hills court Thursday morning.

Lohan’s powerhouse civil attorney, Ed McPherson stated in an interview that the judge acknowledged that the boys’ allegations were “weak.”

“For instance, they have a claim for ‘battery’ which is what most people would construe as one person punching another person. The judge acknowledged that Lindsay never even touched any of the boys, but that somebody, somewhere, might construe what she did as a “battery,” McPherson says.

McPherson also stated that Lohan will attend the trial, scheduled to begin on April 25, 2011.

David Cassidy Pleads Not Guilty to DUI

Former teen idol David Cassidy entered a not-guilty plea in writing Tuesday in a Florida court, a day after the Florida Highway Patrol released video of the former “Partridge Family” star failing a field sobriety test.

Cassidy, whose next court date was set for Jan. 18, did not appear in person. The 1970s heartthrob was pulled over around 6 p.m. on Nov. 3 after he was observed weaving and making an erratic lane change in his Mercedes, according to an FHP report.

According to police, Breathalyzer tests given at around 8:30 p.m., show that Cassidy logged .141 and .139 blood-alcohol levels. The singer, who said he was tired after attending an early-morning funeral, said he’d had a glass of wine at lunch and a hydrocodone pill for back pain around 3:30 p.m., but denied being intoxicated. Police also said they found an open, half-full bottle of bourbon in the car’s back seat.

Cassidy faces a maximum $1,000 fine and six months behind bars if convicted on misdemeanor charges of DUI, failure to maintain a single lane and driving with an open container.

Lindsay Lohan Suffering Anxiety Over 2007 DUI Arrest

According to reports, Lindsay Lohan is struggling with anxiety associated with the aftermath of her 2007 DUI arrest in Santa Monica.

Lindsay allegely chased her former assistant’s mother Michelle Peck and Tracie Rice — Peck’s passenger.

Lohan is currently being sued for assault and negligence by three male passengers who were in her car along with Rice.

A source connected with the actress stated, “Lindsay is taking responsibility for her actions, but this group of people just won’t be happy until they can drag Lindsay’s name through the mud. Lindsay’s legal team has made reasonable settlement offers, but those have been rejected.”

The team at Betty Ford is “working with Lindsay to specifically deal with the anxiety, and the stress she is feeling about this. Lindsay and her doctors don’t want this to have a negative impact on her sobriety. If this was anyone else besides Lindsay Lohan, this lawsuit never would have been filed,” the source added.
